WELCOME TO QUINCY SQUARE
A communal gathering place for Bremerton and the world
BACK ON THE BLOCK
Did you know one of the most influential American composers hails from Bremerton? It’s true, Quincy Jones spent time as a young man in our city and started studying music the moment he touched a piano in the Bremerton Armory.
As a community, we want to celebrate Quincy’s career, his influence on music, and his legacy here in Bremerton by renaming downtown 4th street to Quincy Square.
Thank You, Quincy Jones
There is no denying your extraordinary talents and the evident impact you made on popular music, television, and film. For decades, you championed the power of song, helping to produce some of the most renowned music ever created. From Frank Sinatra to Michael Jackson, the list goes on and on.

You produced “The Color Purple” and helped launch Will Smith’s on-screen career as “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”. Your list of accomplishments is remarkable.
As we mourn your passing, we are so grateful for the example you set and the music you left us all to enjoy. Thank you for representing Bremerton well, you will be missed.
